ISO 50001 EnPI Quick Check

Enter baseline and reporting periods for your significant energy uses (SEUs) to see how the energy performance indicator (EnPI) changed and the difference normalised to the relevant variable, as a preliminary check.

The values you enter are processed only in your browser; they are not sent to a server or stored.

Enter the shared values once and the tools can fill them in for you.Create facility profile

The part of baseline-period energy independent of the variable (lighting, standby loads); applied to all uses equally. If unknown, leave 0: a pure intensity ratio is used.

To show how much of consumption the SEUs cover, for the reporting period. For an annual period you can fill it from the profile.

ISO 50001 requires energy performance to be tracked with indicators and an energy baseline (EnB). This tool uses a simple normalisation proportional to the relevant variable; it does not replace a statistical (e.g. regression) energy baseline as described in ISO 50006, or measurement and verification (M&V) per ISO 50015. Baseline and reporting periods must be of equal length and comparable.

For a result, enter all four values for at least one use: baseline and reporting energy and the relevant variable.
