Energy Readiness Scorecard

Answer 10 questions on monitoring, cost decisions, electrical safety and management to see your maturity grade and the first gaps worth looking at.

Energy data, cost and management

Do you monitor electricity consumption at hourly or 15-minute resolution?

Choose “partly” if you only look at monthly bill values.

Do you separate the main consumption groups (process, HVAC, compressed air, etc.) with sub-meters?

Choose “no” if there are no measurement points beyond the main meter.

Do you review bill items (distribution, reactive, supply) and your supply contract at least once a year?

Choose “no” if bills are only approved for payment.

Have you evaluated at least one of rooftop/ground PV, storage or load shifting using the facility's own load data?

Getting a quote does not count; a feasibility study with your own data does. If no such option applies to your facility, choose “Not applicable”; the question is not scored.

Have you compiled your energy and emissions data for carbon obligations (ETS, EU CBAM)?

If you have confirmed you are out of scope, choose “Not applicable”; the question is not scored.

Are indicators, targets and responsibilities defined for energy performance (ISO 50001 or equivalent)?

Certification is not required. “Yes” if all three exist, “partly” if one or two do.

Electrical safety and quality

Is your short-circuit and protection coordination study current, including the most recent facility changes?

If a transformer, PV plant or large motor was added, check whether the study includes that change.

Has an arc flash study been done, and are the incident energy labels on your panels current?

“Yes” if both study and labels are current; “partly” if labels exist but the study is old.

Do you regularly measure power factor and harmonics and monitor the condition of your compensation panel?

Choose “partly” if you only look at the reactive item on the bill.

Do you know your transformer loading and the margin to its rating from measurements?

Choose “yes” if you have peak and average load measurements instead of estimates.
